Baby Butt Cream

Diaper rashes are NO JOKE.
I won’t lie I felt a lot of pressure when creating the recipe for this diaper cream because this was one of the things that inspired me to start creating natural products in the first place. I didn’t want to use toxic ingredients on my babies and my daughter had the most sensitive skin. My favorite homemade diaper cream I ever bought from a little herbal shop had similar ingredients and that’s what sort of inspired this. I chose to leave out essential oils since our babies have sensitive skin it seemed unnecessary to add to our recipe.

This cream has a few ingredients like:

Shea butter: Shea butter is known to be moisturizing and soothing, it is also anti fungal which is important when dealing with a yeast infection.

Calendula infused in grape seed oil: We all know Calendula is a local resident around here. It is known to be antibacterial and antiviral, anti inflammatory which is very helpful when dealing with an irritated bum.

Zinc Oxide: Helps fight bacteria and protects the skin

Bentonite clay: Removes toxins and helps pull out bacteria

Arrowroot powder: Antibacterial and antiviral, can help soothe irritated and inflamed skin.
