Sniffle Season Chest Rub
🤧
An all natural chest rub. A wonderful alternative to Vicks chest rub.
So why choose a more alternative chest rub? Well during those sick days when you are all congested, feeling groggy and terrible all you want is some form of relief. So you reach for the thick, petroleum based mess of Vicks, or similar store bought product to lather on your chest. While that sweet strong minty aroma helps open up your airways, did you know that those products are often 90% petroleum and less then 10% herbal ingredients? Also, products like Vicks contain an ingredient called camphor which research has show that swallowing a few teaspoons of camphor can cause deadly poisoning in toddlers?! Terrifying that there’s ingredients that could cause poisoning if ingested that we are layering on our skin!
An all natural herbal rub like ours has a much shorter ingredient list with taking whole plants of herbs like Mullen and Eucalyptus and macerating them in grapseed oil to extract the medicinal properties from the plant, as well as beeswax, menthol crystals which Menthol crystals are a 100% natural product that is steam distilled from corn mint (Mentha arvensis). They are the solid constituent, obtained by freezing the distilled oil to reach a temperature of -7.6° F, at which point the menthol crystallizes into beautifully formed crystals.
Lastly we add Rosemary and Eucalyptus essential oil.
